Radio Silence

I'm not entirely certain how long it's been since I last updated, but I should probably give a reason for my recent radio silence.

I haven't been writing, or even at my computer for the last week. I've basically been out until 9 pm most nights, coming home and crashing in front of Netflix (we've been watching Breakout Kings and Lie to Me), then sleeping, working, and doing it again.

In other words, we're house hunting.

But we put in an offer this morning, so hopefully things will be cooling off soon... Crossing my fingers.

I hope your offer is accepted and that the house turns out to be wonderful.

I remember house hunting and really never want to do it again. We spent weekend after weekend and evening after evening on it. It took us more than a year to find a place we could afford that was near the buses and that had a room big enough to fit our king sized bed.

I really hope the house is great!

Thanks! I hope so, too. We have the advantage of a bit of flexibility when it comes to transportation, and I think we're in a good position because the market is glutted in our town, so there's a lot of choice.

Our biggest challenge has been working out just how much we really want to spend on a house, and finding a place that's large enough to have a sewing workshop that will suit Miko's needs. This house has two big rooms in the basement, which is walkout and has tonnes of light, so it really suits her.

It's a great house, and I really hope that the seller doesn't decide he doesn't want to sell at all. We're ready to basically take his counter offer, no matter what it is, but there's a chance he might not sell. He was about to take it off the market.
