Rough Cat Day
If you've got especial squeemishness about eye things, you may not want to read this. I'm not being graphic, but yeah.
For the past couple of weeks, we've been treating an infection in my elderly cat, Yoru's eye. He has basically a little divot in his cornea now, which we've been treating with eye drops three times a day, but he was on the mend.
Yesterday, he consulted with the cat eye specialist (who knew those existed!), and she felt he was doing fantastic, that he had no need for surgery, and told us to stop all medication. She had tested both eyes for any sign of infection and found nothing. Today, we got home from work to find his OTHER eye shut tight and pus-y. We took him to the vet for the sixth time and he has an ulcer in the other ey e now.
Sigh. I don't want him to wind up blind. I really just hope we caught it early enough this time to prevent him from winding up with a major eye problem in both eyes.
